Douglas Vunic CEO, co-founder
cut his teeth in IT working as CTO for Bigfoot, a leading E-mail marketing company that pioneered large scale databases for direct marketing. Douglas was instrumental in building the technology for web-based E-mail, database targeting, the Neoplanet web browser, and the Bigfoot Directory product. As CTO at ORB Digital Direct, an Internet direct marketing facilitation company, Douglas helped create systems to streamline creative, media, centralized ad serving, transaction tracking, optimization, and fulfillment for Internet advertisers. At Data Systems Support, a software company that manages customer interactions for Fortune 500 clients, Douglas directed large development teams and designed new product initiatives for clients such as Sprint, NASDAQ, and BP. Today, he is one of the most experienced video to mobile engineers in the industry, hired by European mobile technology companies to solve video delivery issues for major clients. He has been called on by U.S. cellular carriers to help them resolve video delivery to their customers. He has provided the technical expertise that allowed live video to mobile access for BET LIVE events, as well as video to mobile delivery for NBC TV, CNBC, SciFi Channel and USA Networks. His WAP site experience is equally as impressive, having developed sophisticated, content rich WAP sites for Maxim, Zagat, FashionCast and MTV. Douglas holds a BS in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Gregg Dearth, CMO, co-founder
has held senior management positions in several major U.S. ad agencies, including BBDO, Marsteller New York (a Young & Rubicam company), Ketchum and Cunningham & Walsh. His creative work for Delta Air Lines is in the Advertising Hall of Fame. He has led marketing and creative efforts on behalf of Wachovia, LG, Heinz, PNC, Peregrine Systems, United Airlines, Embraer, WBBM-TV, Hoechst Marion Roussel, NEC and many other major companies. Gregg created the first sweepstakes on the Internet, for the third commercial site—enews.com. This led to the first real demographic data on Internet users, and some of the first advertising revenue ever generated from the Internet. He consults to leading edge mobile media companies including Short TV. He has also raised VC funding and launched a successful web-based lead generation business. He holds an AB from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
